The 10th anniversary of the late general Chae's death
 

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the late general Chae Myung-shin's death, a grand memorial service sponsored by the Vietnam Veterans Association Korea was held at 11:00 hours on November 24, 2023 in the Memorial Hall of the Seoul National Cemetery. 

A dozen of the bereaved family members and celebrities including Minister of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, deputy chief of  staff of the Army and retired general officers attended the memorial service. The memorial hall was also fully filled with hundreds of the Vietnam war veterans from all across the country.

After the Pledge of Allegiance, I was honored, in the capacity of the late general's last aide, to introduce the late commander's profile. 

As announced two months ago, to our deep regret, the wife of the deceased, Mrs. Moon Jung-in passed away on September 5, 2023 in spite of her desire to participate in the 10th anniversary memorial service scheduled to be taken place on a large scale. 

May the late commander and his spouse the late Mrs. Moon Jung-in rest in peace.
